As a principal at Conquent, Mr. Bissell has been responsible for managing the overall operations of the company. This experience has been of immense value to clients who are conscious of diminishing resources and expanding development requirements.
Daily duties include:
- Human Resources: Recruiting and managing a staff of up to 20 direct employees and an ever changing group of vendors and 1099 contractors
- Project Management: Aside from the complex nature of digital project development, managing the deadlines, communication systems and other tools to make sure the team has what they need to get the project done.
- General Accounting: Responsible for all aspects of accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and tax preparation.
- Operations: One of the drawbacks to being a small business owner is also the unexpected places you find yourself -- managing two facilities and dealing with light bulbs and toilet paper along with service provider selection, vendor relationships, etc.
